House GOP Deputy Budgeteer Amy Elik Responds to Signing of Illinois Budget

After the largest-in-history $55.9 Billion FY 27 State Budget was signed into law by Governor Pritzker on June 16, State Representative and House Republican Deputy Budgeteer Amy Elik issued the following statement:

“I am disappointed that Democrats in power in Springfield ignored the most pressing issues facing families, and instead passed a budget that will raise taxes, provides no relief for rising energy bills, and continues to put their political agenda ahead of the needs of Illinois citizens. The priorities of Illinois Democrats are clear: spend more, tax more, and leave Illinois families with less in their pocket.”
