Representative Amy Elik released the following statement following Southwestern Illinois College’s Manufacturing Day event:
“On National Manufacturing Day today, I had the pleasure of attending the Manufacturing Day event for high school students at Southwestern Illinois College’s Granite City campus. Over 1500 high school students from 45 schools in the region attended today to learn about the programs and facilities at SWIC that can get them into good-paying and rewarding careers quickly. Thank you to SWIC for putting on this impactful event for our area students, and thank you to all the employers who attended and shared job opportunities with the students!”
