Representative Amy Elik and Senator Erica Harriss Bringing Free Job Fair to the Riverbend
State Representative Amy Elik (R-Alton) and State Senator Erica Harriss (R-Glen Carbon) are teaming up with local and state employers to host a free job fair in Alton.
“I’m thrilled to team up with Senator Harriss to host our first Job Fair,” said Rep. Elik. “We’ve worked hard to bring together a wide array of employers to provide an opportunity for anyone, and hope that you’ll find your next adventure because of the connections you’ll make.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring plenty of resumes and dress for success.
The event is free and open to the public.

Representative Elik and Senator Harriss Champion Newly Signed Law to Modernize America’s Central Port District
Legislation sponsored by State Senator Erica Harriss (56th-Glen Carbon) and State Representative Amy Elik (111th-Alton) to modernize and improve the operations of the America’s Central Port District has been signed into law.
House Bill 2139, introduced at the request of the Port District, delivers greater flexibility, accountability, and efficiency to one of Illinois’ most critical economic hubs. The bill updates decades-old provisions in the America’s Central Port District Act, aligning the law with modern financial and operational practices.
“This is about keeping our Port District competitive while ensuring transparency and responsibility,” said Rep. Elik. “These updates will help the Port operate effectively for decades to come.”

ICASH is a program designed to help people locate and reclaim unclaimed property. Over $2 billion have been returned to residents. Unclaimed property can be anything from forgotten bank accounts and uncashed checks to insurance payments, stocks, and even safe deposit boxes.
Narcan Seminar and Giveaway
Mark you calendars! November 6 I am hosting a Narcan Seminar and Giveaway at the Roxana Village Hall. There will be two seminars, one at 1:00pm and one at 2:00pm, designed to educate on the uses of Naxalone (Narcan) and following the seminars attendees can take home their own Naxalone to use in an emergency.
