“As Madigan’s trial rolls into its 3rd week, I’m continuing my fight for ethics reform,” said Rep. Amy Elik.
She continued, “I’m fighting to stop politicians from using campaign funds on their legal defense against criminal charges for corruption, keep politicians from getting their pension benefits if they’re indicted, unless they’re cleared, and grant the Inspector General’s office subpoena power to compel testimony about public corruption, harassment or misconduct, without needing legislative permission.”
