Illinois State Representative Amy Elik reiterated the need for property tax relief.
“High property tax rates are crushing Illinois families and making our state an unaffordable and unattractive place to live,” said Elik. “Our residents need relief now so they can stay and grow here at home. Illinois should reduce our tax burden and create a better climate for individuals and businesses.”
Illinoisans already paid the second highest property taxes in the country. with the typical Illinoisan paying over $700 more than just five years ago.
