Today State Representative Amy Elik passed legislation out of the House Transportation: Vehicles & Safety Committee to help make traveling on Illinois roadways safer when approaching a tow truck vehicle parked on the side of the road.
There is more work that needs to be done with this legislation before it moves in the House, but it’s a step in the right direction. This legislation will help motorists see tow truck lights much easier and it will better protect tow truck operators and motorists passing vehicles receiving emergency assistance.
